Description

Russell built Lydia as a birthday present to himself, and he really pushed the envelope. He wanted to show how a stock Softail (2008 Night Train) could be made to look 100% radical chopper, whilst maintaining all of the stock functionality. This bike has full suspension, fuel injection, speedo, turn signals, everything! Russell put 8,000 miles on Lydia before his next birthday - not a world record, but a bloody good distance for a chopper!

Our X-Harleys start life as a stock Harley Davidson (mostly Softails) and are transformed by replacing many of the stock HD parts with Exile parts. The number of parts replaced and the level of fabrication work involved varies between projects, as does the amount of paint, powder-coat and other finishes required. Some bikes are literally stripped to a bare frame, whereas other bikes involve zero fabrication and are completely "bolt-on" propositions. Some of the bikes here simply reflect $15k in bolt-on parts, whereas other projects are much more extensive in terms of both parts and fabrication and, as such, are significantly more expensive.  As these bikes carry a HD title they are easy to register and insure. Many also retain all the stock functions and boast speedometer, turn-signals, horn, fuel injection, etc. This 'formula' makes for a very ownable, reliable, and rideable, custom bike. These days Russell performs all the transformations himself, so call (or email) him to discuss.
