Meet the HOTROD. This was our offering for Discovery Channel's "World Bike Build Off", which first aired Sept 2004. Old School class throughout, with kick-start, hand shift, foot clutch, satin paint, flames, red rims, whitewalls etc. What is that tricky red button in the shift knob, I hear you ask?  It activates a line lock to hold the brakes on. Clean bars and hill-start capability! These days we typically use a centrifugal clutch to acheive that functionality.

This is by far our most popular model and we have built dozens over the years - knuckles, shovels, evos - not to mention countless HotRod Complete Bike Kits. John Mellencamp has one of these babies in his garage. Four fine examples are shown here.

These days, all our bikes are built by Russell himself. Our Specials start at around $60k for a bike with a 121" Total Performance engine and a JIMS 6-speed transmission. Most of our Specials can also be supplied as a 'ready-to-paint' Complete Bike Kit for around $40k. Of course, different component choices can affect the final price.
